Guoquan announced that it has completed a $300 million Series D round of financing led by Zhaoyin International and Tiantu Capital, with follow-on investment from its old shareholders. Guoquan will build upstream barriers, enter the third to sixth line consumer market, continue to deepen the supply chain to do a good job of industrial synergy, make the new family food supermarket closest to the majority of consumers living in the community, adhering to the value of “delicious but not expensive”, and become a leading brand for family food supermarket.


Founded in 2017, Guoquan is a one-stop hot pot and barbecue ingredients supermarket chain system that focuses on hot pot and barbecue ingredients, covering frozen products, fresh food, snacks, base dipping sauce, seasonal beverages, hot pot utensils, barbecue utensils and other multi-categories, and gradually advances to family ingredients. With the Internet sales platform with physical stores and supermarket delivery model, Guoquan has created a supply chain of ingredients for home kitchens, providing customers with high-quality and cost-effective ingredients directly from the origin.

In 2019, Guoquan store sales grew 400% year-on-year and became profitable for the second consecutive year, ranking first in the industry in terms of growth rate and scale. And at a time when the epidemic has brought a huge impact on the restaurant industry, the differentiated positioning of Guoquan has further accelerated the business expansion of Guoquan. In the 9-month period from February to November 2020, Guoquan opened an average of 12.2 stores per day, serving 130 million users, and the total number of stores in 2020 has reached 5,000. Guoquan has completed four consecutive rounds of financing in the past year or so, with a cumulative financing amount of nearly 3 billion RMB.


In 2019, the founding team of Guoquan put forward the vision of “aspiring to become the Chinese family’s own US Foods”, wanting to be a supermarket focusing on Chinese families’ ingredients, with three kilometers as the radiation to meet people's daily hot pot and barbecue needs. Four years ago, Guoquan began to penetrate the barbecue field, and now has explored and developed over 100 kinds of barbecue ingredients and launched a smokeless barbecue grill for families.


At present, whether it is purchased in offline stores or ordered online by app, Guoquan continues to benefit consumers at 1/3 of the price of other restaurants. At the same time, more and more fresh dishes in the form of pre-sales have started to appear in the stores and app of Guoquan, covering a variety of dining scenarioses such as daily cooking, convenient fast food and casual snacks.
